About Me
What I can do
Chote Networks is the “business side” of Daniel Chote. Daniel can provide you with an extensive range of technology solutions: Small- to large-scale network design, large-scale web application, or a personal website.
Leading edge design
Leading edge design requires leading edge technologies. This means that we spend a lot of time keeping up with where the technology is heading.
HTML5 and CSS3 are developing standards, meaning that not every browser on the market fully supports them. However, this does not mean that we shouldn’t be using them. It just means that we need to spend the extra time to build in backwards compatibility to allow older browsers to view the content the best they can.
How we use it all
Daniel’s design motto is KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid). HTML5 solves the complexity that worked its way into HTML4/XHTML.
There has been a lot of effort put into standardization with HTML5, which helps developers/authors create better defined code that is easier to understand and work with.
CSS3 opens the door to some great new formatting tools, allowing web developers to design websites with print quality precision and effects.
Daniel’s PHP code puts emphasis on “less is more.” No big bulky frameworks; just a good code structure, which we follow closely. PHP is already a high level language. Most frameworks create another layer that you interact with to do even the simplest of tasks. This may make it easier to push a product out the door faster (although typically doesn’t), but it adds a lot of processing overhead and an entire codebase that the developer doesn’t fully understand. This overhead, and an unknown codebase, typically result in a lot of bugs and no quick solutions.
